The Gifts of the Season

The Gifts of the Season

What a wonderful holiday season! December is always one of my favorite months, despite the shortened hours of sunlight we experience this time of year. The sights and sounds of the holiday season always brighten the darkness. This year was no different.

This year, I made it a point to connect with the buyers that had purchased homes with me in 2023. We spend so much time together during the home buying process, but then we suddenly drop out of each other’s lives after closing. Anyone who has worked a real estate deal with me knows that I love time with my clients as much I love the industry that brought us together. Real estate transactions can be complex, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun along the way.

Stopping by each buyer’s home during the holiday season was a lift to my own Christmas spirit. It was truly gratifying to see the properties we competed for turned into homes with candles burning, cozy couches, lovely holiday decorations, smells of home cooked meals and in some cases, wagging tails of curious furry family members greeting me.

Baked goods shared by a buyer who had been searching for the right sized home with the perfect kitchen to make her pasteries were scrumptuous. Seeing nurseries underway for new arrivals due in 2024 were precious. Kids who loved their new schools and talked of their neighborhood friends made me smile from ear to ear. One even impressed me with his ability to read the cursive writing on the tag of a gift I had given. And hearing of relocations from out of state that had meant being closer to family at moments in time when it was needed most made my heart swell.

The best gift this holiday season, in addition to spending time with family, was connecting with these clients turned friends and knowing that what I do made a difference in their lives. I am looking forward to 2024 and the ability to help even more buyers find their homes and more sellers transition out of their exisiting homes with minimal stress and maximum profit. I consider myself truly blessed to be a real estate professional. Thank you for your continued trust in me as your REALTOR®.
